At 17.00, everyone gathered in the municipal council hall, where municipal commissioner Jerry Johansson and the Mayor of Mtarfa gave speeches. Jerry Johansson gave away red cloth bags with the text "Arvidsjaur- the generous lake" in Swedish. Afterwards everyone wanted to take pictures in front of the wooden elks. The evening progressed with drinks and a lecture about Arvidsjaur's society and later dinner made by the Restaurant school in Arvidsjaur.
